Many research institutions and companies are working on this topic, which allows production data to be continuously recorded and fed back into the production process in real time. Some of these projects focus on individual machines and others on entire process chains. Munich-based start-up nebumind has developed a location-based database for this purpose, enabling companies to run productions of the highest quality with the greatest possible flexibility.
